AQUAMAT tank cleaning units

Hammelmann tank cleaning units remove deposits and incrustations from the inner and outer walls of tanks and tank installations at operating pressures of up to 1800 bar. The units operate solely using the power of the water jet. Hammelmann offers a wide range of nozzle holders for the various applications. The tank cleaning units can be fitted with one or two nozzle holders.

Operating principle of an AQUAMAT Select tank cleaning unit

 
Energy-efficient

The cleaning time is reduced by an oscillating movement of the nozzle arms. The oscillation angle can be limited to 35° or 83°. The rotation around the vertical apparatus axis can be pre-selected at 36° or 81°. When used in large vessels, the tank cleaning unit is positioned on the vessel wall and then cleans section by section.

Other variants for adaptation to the cleaning situation (top or bottom of vessel) are possible. The drive of the Aquamat Select is generated by a second nozzle arm driven by recoil force. To ensure its permanent rotation, various nozzle diameters are used depending on the operating pressure. This means that the cleaning time and performance can be optimized.

Cleaning small vessels

In smaller vessels, the tank cleaning unit is positioned centrally. The limits on rotational motion around the vertical apparatus axis do not apply in this case.
